Don’t Say It!

There are few things that bother me more than when the devil starts lying, and we start believing him. What’s more, it’s when we start saying it – yes, we start speaking the lies the devil has been spewing. Do you know you are speaking death? You are! So…

DON’T SAY IT!

Listen, I know from personal experience how easy it is to get tripped up. I was recently there, myself. Thank God, a beautiful, sister in Christ grabbed me and said, “Are you listening to lies?

Sadly, yep, I was.

I want to ask you the same question: Are you listening to lies?

All those negative, hurtful, words that we keep hearing and that we continue to allow into our minds are lies the enemy (the devil) wants us to hear because he wants to keep us from our destination. He wants to keep us from achieving the next level in our spiritual walk. And the closer we get to a higher level with God, the harder the devil fights against us.

You and I are so much more than we realize. We are more than conquerors. Do you know what that means? It means that, as daughters and sons of the Most High God, we are already victorious. We have already won a great battle because Jesus won it for us. More than that, we can’t lose. Therefore, we are to operate from a vantage point of overwhelming victory!

My heart breaks as I watch and listen to women (and men) who stand, crying, pouring out their heart about the sickness, struggles and heartache they’re suffering, and in the same breath, begin stating they know what they’re supposed to do, know they should read their Bible and pray, but nothing seems to be working. They believe it’s just too hard.

Hello?

There’s something big in your way. It’s your but. Not your bottom, your derrière, your backside. No. Your B-U-T. Your but. Every time you say, “But,” you are negating everything positive and allowing the negative to stick to you like suction cups.

You can read God’s Word. You can pray. BUT if you add in the but, you’re basically saying, “I know the promise, but I don’t believe it.” You know what God says about you. You know His Word says you’re healed, but you don’t believe it’s for every area of your body or your life. You’re basically saying, He can heal me of depression, but I don’t believe He can heal me in my physical body.

I understand. I’ve lived it. I was called out on it, now I’m calling you out.

Stop. Believing. The. Lies!

Stand up!
Get rid of your but!
Take a deep breath!

Now, tell God you truly believe Him, get into His Word (the Bible), study it, digest it, let it seep into your bones. When those negative words pop into your mind, DON’T SAY IT! Instead, get rid of them. Stop speaking those negative things out of your mouth and start speaking and living life.

Love you, my friends!
Shelley
