About Shelley Wilburn

Shelley Wilburn was born and raised in West Frankfort, Illinois. Her writing career began at age twelve when she wrote a poem that was published in her Junior High Yearbook. Through the years, Shelley has written several articles and devotions for various newspapers, women’s magazines and newsletters, and has also co-authored devotionals. Although she has always loved writing, Shelley didn’t begin writing full-time until she was miraculously healed of depression and anxiety in 2012.

In addition to writing, Shelley is an avid reader and book reviewer, blogger, and speaker. Using her love of writing, and wearing mismatched socks, Shelley has a powerful testimony from which she has developed a unique ministry of encouraging others using biblical truths and stories from her own personal life.

Shelley is married to her high school sweetheart, and ministry partner, D.A. Together, they have three grown, married children and six grandchildren. When not writing, you can find Shelley and D.A. zipping down the road in their newest adventure-maker, a bright orange, Mustang convertible Shelley has laughingly dubbed, The Pony.
